The time for public comment has passed. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the proposal process for the commission.
The first proposal being presented is from police district council 12.
One question asked is “does this pertain to all hate groups or white supremacy in particular?”
The host of this meeting will be taking the feedback back to those who wrote the initial proposal.

There is frustration and tension created by Orlikoff telling another police district council member “shut up.”

Charles Isaacs, Assistant Director, goes over the purpose of today’s meeting, Chicago public police department developed a policy governing interactions with the Police District councils.
Isaacs says the process is fluid and that the process could go a lot longer
Isaacs mentions a resources guide that is meant to provide more information on how the Chicago Police Department operates along with other things.

The Police District Council Meeting members are now in the working groups.
So far, police district council members have voted for Saturday, September 28 at 10am for the next police district council quarterly meeting.
There is now a reveal for the CCPSA logo and options for the logo for police district council members. A survey will be sent out to council members on what the overall preference is.
Police District council members are discussing concerns and questions about how the logos can be used.
